Issued 4:00 AM NST 24 February 2018 Today Tonight and Sunday At 4:00 a.m. NST today quasi-stationary low 944 mb located southeast
of Greenland.

At 4:00 a.m. NST today trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over central Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Sunday trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over Belle Isle Bank.

At 4:00 p.m. NST today approaching ridge located over southern
Quebec.


Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:59 AM NST 24 February 2018 An intense low pressure system remaining nearly stationary just off
the southeastern coast of Greenland will gradually weaken through the
forecast period. Meanwhile, a trough of low pressure over the Central
Labrador Sea will sweep southeastward to exit the marine district
this evening. Strong to gale force northwesterlies can be expected
over most waters today under the influence of these systems.
Winds will diminish on Sunday as a ridge builds in from the west.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
North Labrador Coast and the Labrador Sea.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
