southeast of Greenland.

At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over northern Belle Isle Bank.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Sunday departing trough located southeast of the
Marine District.

At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight ridge located over Quebec.
By 9:30 p.m. NST Sunday ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over Labrador Sea.


Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:08 PM NST 24 February 2018 An intense low pressure system nearly stationary just off the
southeastern coast of Greenland will gradually weaken through the
forecast period. Meanwhile, a trough of low pressure over the Belle
Isle Bank will continue to move away from the marine district
tonight. Strong to gale force northwesterlies will diminish tonight
and Sunday as a ridge builds in from the west.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
North Labrador Coast and the Labrador Sea.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
