DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 2300Z November 21, 2017

SMOKE:
No major areas of smoke were observed in satellite imagery this
evening. A few small and thin density smoke plumes were seen across
parts of southern Alabama.

DUST:
Caribbean Sea...
A thin layer of Saharan dust has now grown to cover much of the Caribbean
Sea. One small portion now extends from Cuba and the Cayman Islands
to eastern Honduras and Nicaragua. The main layer of Saharan dusts
extends from central Jamaica and Haiti's Tiburon Peninsula east across
the Windward Islands and into the Atlantic Ocean. This layer of Saharan
dust is traveling to the west.

OF SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME
