Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Chatham-Kent - Rondeau Park
  • Windsor - Leamington - Essex County

Appreciable rainfall tonight.

A warm front associated with a low pressure area is currently moving across Southwestern Ontario. Period of rain associated with this front may be expected tonight with further rainfall amounts of 10 to 15 mm. There may even be a rumble or two of thunder later tonight.

This is below Environment Canada's criterion for rainfall warning when the ground is frozen.

Ponding of water on roads and possible marginal flooding may be expected in poorly drained areas.

Periodic showers accompanied by record mild temperatures more typical of April are expected Tuesday and Tuesday night. A cold front will announce an end to the rain on Wednesday. Rainfall from this multi-day event may total 25 to 40 mm.

Fog advisory in effect for:

  • Chatham-Kent - Rondeau Park
  • Windsor - Leamington - Essex County

Near zero visibility in fog is expected or occurring.

Fog has developed over much of Southwestern Ontario and the Golden Horseshoe this evening. Visibilities will be frequently reduced to less than 400 metres at times. Fog is expected to lift later Tuesday morning.

If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.

Fog advisories are issued when near zero visibilities in fog are expected or occurring.
