Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:19 PM NDT 23 April 2024 A low pressure system over the Northwest Labrador Sea will weaken into a trough over the Labrador Sea by this evening. Gale force west to southwesterly winds over northern and western waters will diminish tonight as the system weakens.
A second low will approach from the south on Wednesday. Strong to gale force southerlies will develop Wednesday late in the day ahead of the low.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, and Southwestern Grand Banks.
