At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight trough located over New England.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Tuesday trough located on a line north-south over
the central Marine District.


Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:47 AM AST 18 December 2017 Strong northwesterly winds will continue to weaken today as a ridge
moves in from the west. A trough of low pressure extending from
Quebec will swing though the marine district on Tuesday. Strong to
gale force westerlies are expected in its wake beginning Tuesday
evening.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Fundy, Grand Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank and Georges Bank.

Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning is in
effect for Cabot Strait - northern half.
