...Widespread Temperatures Below Freezing Expected...
.A very cold airmass originating from western Canada will begin
to move into Northern California tonight. The coldest
temperatures are expected Monday night into Tuesday morning, with
another night of freezing temperatures Tuesday night.
Widespread frost is expected. Agricultural impacts could be
significant, due to an early bloom from unusually mild weather in
recent weeks. People should take steps to protect sensitive
plants, outdoor pets, and outdoor pipes.
...FREEZE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM MONDAY TO 8 AM PST
WEDNESDAY...
* TEMPERATURE...Overnight low temperatures of 23 to 30 degrees.
* TIMING....Coldest Tuesday morning, with widespread lows in the
mid to upper 20s and several hours of subfreezing temperatures
possible.
* IMPACTS...Freezing temperatures can damage or kill plants that
are sensitive to cold. Consider wrapping external pipes which
may be vulnerable to freezing. Please check on the elderly and
make sure your animals have a warm shelter.

.A cold system from western Canada will bring periods of snow and
gusty winds to the northern Sierra into Monday. Snow levels will
lower into the foothills tonight. A dusting of snow is possible
down to 1000 feet.
...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM PST
MONDAY...
* WHAT...Snow occurring. Plan on slippery road conditions.
Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are expected.
* WHERE...West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada.
* WHEN...Until 4 PM Monday.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for reduced visibilities at
times. Wind gusts 40 to 50 mph possible over higher terrain.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
